While you check out this new product, let me tell you about my week....

It's been a busy week, but a good one! I bought a new HP desktop computer last Monday and spent a couple of days transferring and cleaning up files. The old computer was a windows XP and the new one was Windows Vista. I owned a Belkin FastLynx 3.3 software and transfer cable, so I started with that. The problem that I encountered was that some of the programs did not want to install on the new Vista platform.

After I was about half way thru I was at Wal-Mart and saw a Belkin Product called "Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista and Software", that would zap all the old settings and programs from the old computer and install them on the new computer. I bought the cable and software. I ended up not using it, cause it did not give me the option to selectively choose which programs. If only I had known about the Belkin product before I started! lol

I also changed to Roadrunner Turbo Service. I live in the forest and had been paying $88 a month for a satelite dish from Hugesnet. It had been installed for two years. At first the service was great, but over time, if I downloaded just one file, it was like dialup speed the rest of the day.

All that's behind me now. I have the new service and the new computer with plenty of memory and disc space. Sure feels good to not have to struggle to get those huge video files downloaded.

Tought I'd mention this, so that if you are considering moving to a Windows Vista platform, it would save you a lot of time to get the Belkin cable and software availale at your local Wal-Mart store.
